The Diocese of Leeds is committed to providing members of its churches with the opportunity to develop or acquire skills for the modern church. This section of our website provides details of some that are currently on offer and a link to the new Learning platform with lots more informaton and resources for use in and for our chuches.
Following successful online delivery last term, and as we are currently still unable to meet face to face, the lay training team is offering some further training opportunities using our online classroom [similar to Zoom] for this coming term.

The World of Jesus – The Lay Training team are pleased to offer an online training course - ‘The World of Jesus’ with Gordon Dey, - starting Wednesday February 3rd 2021, 7-9pm for eight weeks [with a break 3 March].
The course is an opportunity to explore the people and places of Jesus’ ministry from Nazareth through to Jerusalem. Places are limited so for more information and to book please see

Online Winter Book Group 2020
This online group will read and discuss a variety of books online over the winter months. Their meetings start of 4 November and the first book they will be exploring is Fire of the North (The Life of St Cuthbert) by David Adam. Details at the link..
